Flying Colours is a simple set of creation tools for kids which allows them to color, paint and do much more. At first the kids need to select a canvas to draw on. The canvas can be blank, to create whatever they want using the drawing tools, or could be any of the others. The demo version only includes three canvases, but there are more. The program includes lots of cliparts related to the canvases. You will find fish, animals, plants, geometrical shapes, birds, people, among many others. To add a clipart, the kid just needs to click on the clipart and then click on the part of the drawing he wishes to add. You can also adjust their size and rotation.
The kids can also add text to the drawings, and they can customize the font, color, and justification. They can paint, add shapes, among other editing options. The drawings can be saved or printed, which is great. The user-interface offers four display modes (preschool, kids, basic and advanced), according to different skills levels. Sadly, the graphics leave a lot to be desired, since the user-interface looks old and unattractive, and there are neither sounds nor music.
In short, Flying Colours is a very complete drawing application for kids which offers multiple options to keep the kids entertained. However, you will surely find better-looking with similar options out there.
